The Grizzlies got a break in their schedule when they were able to
take a day off and get in two practice days before Tuesday's home game
against the Kings.
For a Memphis team struggling on defense and lacking a spark on
offense, the practice was needed and it paid off in a 109-94 win over
the Kings. "The two days of hard practice really helped," Grizzlies
backup point guard Kyle Lowry said. "We were able to get back in the gym and work on some things defensively that we worked on in the preseason." On a poor shooting night, the Milwaukee Bucks never gave up, using hustle to overcome their offensive woes. Rookie O.J. Mayo did all he could to rally Memphis in the fourth quarter against the Phoenix Suns. Unfortunately, the Grizzlies had no answer for Leandro Barbosa. Mayo had 19 of his game-high 33 points in the final period, but the victory went to the fifth-year veteran known as the Brazilian Blur and Phoenix as the Suns won 107-102 on Monday night.
