Hornets Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
The Hornets were the highest-scoring team in the NBA through three
games, but since then they have been one of the worst shooting teams
in the league.
They have lost four of their last six games and have not shot as
high as 45 percent in any of those games.
Turnovers have also been an issue, although they have committed
just 17 in the last two games after committing that many during a loss
to the Lakers.
"Some of the turnovers are happening because we're passing up good
shots," coach Byron Scott said. "We'll miss a few shots, then we get tentative and pass on a good shot and try to move into a better position and turn the ball over." After averaging 107 points in their first three games, the Hornets...

The Houston Rockets refused to let a big fourth-quarter lead slip away two nights in a row. Hornets hold off Trail Blazers (AP)

The New Orleans Hornets signed free-agent James Posey for his defense, his championship pedigree and his clutch shooting. The first two things should benefit the Hornets in the long run. His big-shot ability helped them beat the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night. Paul leads Hornets past Heat (AP)

Add another assist to the Hornets' point guard, who set an NBA record in leading New Orleans to a 100-89 victory over Miami on Saturday night. Paul finished with 21 points and 13 assists for his sixth straight double-double of at least 20 points and 10 assists to open the season,...

Bobcats rally to knock off Hornets 92-89 (AP)

Chris Paul had hundreds of friends and family members cheering him on. Raymond Felton hit the big free throws down the stretch. But it was the rookie point guard that stole the spotlight, helping the Charlotte Bobcats to an unlikely win. D.J. Augustin, the ninth pick in the draft and for now Felton's backup, spearheaded Charlotte's comeback Friday night, keying a fourth-quarter rally as the Bobcats...

Hawks hand Hornets first defeat (AP)It's been a long time since NBA teams routinely got fired up to play the Atlanta Hawks. The New Orleans Hornets certainly didn't Wednesday night, and it cost them their first loss of the season. Joe Johnson scored 24 points and the Hawks made 12 3-pointers to stay perfect on the young season with an impressive 87-79 road win over a team that hadn't lost even since preseason began.
