Cowboys Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
Tony Romo returned Sunday after missing three games with a broken pinkie on his throwing hand.
Romo was rusty and threw two interceptions in his much anticipated return.
But numbers don't tell the whole story about Romo's impact on the Cowboys' 14-10 victory over the Redskins.
Returning along with Romo were the Cowboys' swagger and moxie on both sides of the ball.
Romo is the team's leader, and his presence brought back confidence to the entire team, sparking the most important victory of the season.
"He affects the game," Dallas coach Wade Phillips said. "He affects our players. He affects our attitude about what we can and can't do. I think it even affects the game as far as what the other team does.

Romo back, so are Cowboys (AP)

It certainly was premature to write the Dallas Cowboys out of the playoff picture after they fell to 5-4. So it's probably premature to write them back in now that they've reached 6-4, although in a very competitive NFC, they likely have a good shot. If the playoffs started next weekend, Dallas would be out by just a hair -- missing the second wild-card spot to Washington because the Redskins have...

Long, tough drive shows Cowboys' staying power (AP)For one season-salvaging drive, the Dallas Cowboys looked like the kind of team everyone expected. They made good blocks. They made tough plays. When coaches gambled, players delivered. And, most of all, they won. Dallas protected a 14-10 victory over the Washington Redskins on Sunday night by turning to Marion Barber and the offensive line.

Romo's back, so are Cowboys with 14-10 victory (AP)

Tony Romo had to learn how to throw with four fingers instead of five, and how to celebrate with his left hand instead of his right. He was successful on both counts Sunday night, returning just in time to help rescue the Dallas Cowboys' season. His 25-yard pass to rookie Martellus Bennett with 10 1/2 minutes to play was the go-ahead touchdown in a 14-10 victory over the Washington Redskins, a...
